Feeling more like

yourself

may not be as far off as it seems.

I would love to offer support during this chapter of your story.
Let’s take the next step together.

Let's Connect

Hi! I’m Anna Mahaffey,

a Licensed Professional Counselor in Flowood, MS.

A woman with long dark hair wearing purple blouse with a bow, patterned glasses, and hoop earrings, smiling outdoors with autumn foliage in the background.

I know what it’s like to search for help in the middle of life’s demands, feeling overwhelmed about where to start. I aim to provide a relatable and encouraging presence as you take this next step. You are not alone—in fact, you’re in good company.

More About Me

Sometimes healing doesn’t start with big breakthroughs or perfect plans…

Often it begins with simply having space to be. Space to breathe without pressure. To feel without judgment. To show up exactly as you are, and be met with compassion.

Here, there’s room for all of you — the tired parts, the tender parts, and the parts you’re still getting to know.

At Mahaffey Counseling, each session is designed to help you achieve your personal goals, pursue healing and be empowered toward wholeness.

Client Reflections On Working With Anna

A Few Common Questions

  • Anna Mahaffey LPC is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi Provider. She can also provide a “Superbill” for clients who would like to submit their self-pay receipts to their out of network insurance for potential reimbursement.

  • Anna is able to provide video and audio Telehealth sessions through her HIPAA compliant encrypted platform, SimplePractice. She can only provide Telehealth services to Mississippi residents at this time.

  • Anna sees clients ages 15 years and older. Any client under 18 will require a parent or guardian to attend at least the first 15-20 minutes of the initial session. The minor will also need a parent or guardian to complete intake paperwork prior to the session.

  • Honestly, it really is different for every client and it largely depends on what you are seeking counseling for. Some people experience relief even after the first session.

But counseling isn’t about quick fixes or having all the answers right away. It’s an investment and a commitment to the healing process. Sometimes, the issues that bring you to counseling aren’t the root cause.

We might first focus on easing immediate stress or symptoms to help you feel more stable. From there, we gently work toward understanding and healing deeper wounds at your own pace.
